Accused Lower Frederick Shooter Denied Bail Reduction
Stephen Charles Jacobs was in standoff with police this past summer

Stephen Charles Jacobs, 54, of Lower Frederick, will remain in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $75,000 cash bail; Judge Steven T. O'Neill denied Jacobs' now second request for a bail reduction, according to a report.
Jacobs is facing several charges, including attempted murder, in connection with an August incident in which his wife was shot and wounded during an argument Jacobs was having with their daughter. Jacobs was allegedly firing a gun during the fight.
If released, Jacobs would stay in a West Norriton residence, according to the article, which is in the Lansdale Reporter.

The report quotes the defendant's lawyer Michael P. Quinn as arguing, “(Jacobs) is not a threat to society nor a risk of flight. (Jacobs) has extensive family ties in the community and has lived in Montgomery County his entire life. (Jacobs) understands he cannot contact the victim in this matter who happens to be his wife."
Prosecutors contend the bail amount is appropriate given the serious nature of the charges, the report continues.
