Alumnus with Trappe Ties to Be Inducted into MCCC Hall of Fame

The college will hold an induction ceremony Friday. Local Rep. Mike Vereb is also among the honorees.

Montgomery County Community College provided the following information:

The following individuals will be inducted into the Montgomery County Community College Alumni Hall of Fame:      

John J. Adiletto, Jr. (Trappe), class of 1975
John J. Adiletto, Jr. has served as the principal of Upper Merion Area Middle School for 16 years. In 2011, he was named Middle Level Principal of the Year by the Pennsylvania Association of Elementary and Secondary School Principals. In addition to an Associate in General Studies degree from the College, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Millersville State College (now Millersville University) and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from Villanova University.

Melissa H. Motz (Harleysville), class of 1978
Melissa H. Motz is the founder and president of Motz Wealth Management, based in Harleysville. A certified financial planner professional and a certified public accountant, she has more than 25 years of experience in investment management and financial and tax planning. In addition to an Associate in General Studies degree from the College, Motz holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Temple University and a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Drexel University.

Hon. Mike A. Vereb (West Norriton), class of 1986
In 2006, Mike A. Vereb was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 150th legislative district, and he currently serves as House Republican Caucus Secretary for the 2011-2012 legislative session. After graduating from the Montgomery County Municipal Police Academy, he spent 20 years in law enforcement and corporate security, including 10 years with the West Conshohocken Police Department. Rep. Vereb also served as assistant fire marshal for the Norristown Fire Department.

Rising Star AlumnusDaniel G. Kunz (North Wales), class of 2006
After graduating from the College with an Associate inScience degree in Liberal Studies, Daniel G. Kunze earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Temple University. In December 2011, he will graduate with a Juris Doctorate in Law from Widener University Law School. In 2010, Kunze joined the Pennsylvania Army National Guard as an officer candidate. He aspires to build a successful legal, military, and political career.

Honorary AlumnusCharles Kahn, Jr. (Rydal)
Charles Kahn, Jr. is a founding member of the College’s Board of Trustees, serving from 1964-2008. In 2009, he was recognized as a Trustee Trailblazer by the Association of Community College Trustees, and later that year, he was awarded an Honorary Associate in Letters degree from the College. Kahn is the Chairman of Kahn and Co. Real Estate, which recently celebrated its 100th anniversary. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Franklin & Marshal College, and he is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

The Alumni Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place Friday, Sept. 30, at 6 p.m. in the atrium of the Advanced Technology Center at the Central Campus.

Tickets cost $35 and include appetizer and dessert receptions.
