Archdiocese to Stream Press Conference on Blue Ribbon Commission

The press conference will be streamed though the Archdiocese of Philadelphia website.

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia is expected to live stream through the archdiocese website (http://archphila.org), a press conference on the results of the archdiocese's Blue Ribbon Commission, according to a report from phillyburbs.com.

According to a recent , the commission will present findings on which Catholic schools in the region may or may not be closing. The findings will be presented to parish pastors and school presidents and principals on Jan. 6, from 10 a.m. to noon at Neumann University in Aston, Delaware County.

The proceeding press conference is expected to take place at 4 p.m. Friday at the archdiocesan administrative offices, 222 N. 17th St. in Philadelphia, and, as previously noted, live on the archdiocese website.

According to a recent Catholicphilly.com article, the Blue Ribbon Commission is made up of 17 members appointed by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia with the purpose of defining a strategic plan for Catholic education sustainability. 

The Blue Ribbon Commission was formed on Jan. 5, 2011.
