The investigation is ongoing.

Pennsylvania State Police are continuing to investigate a collision that injured a bicyclist--a 56-year-old Schwenksville man--in Perkiomen Township, shortly before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

According to a police report, a 2010 Toyota Yaris--operated by Schwenksville resident Jeannine Malloy, 27--was traveling through "an active school zone" by Perkiomen Valley High School on Gravel Pike/Route 29 when it passed a bicyclist, who was"operating on the shoulder of the roadway."

Malloy continued to turn right at the intersection of Gravel Pike and Trappe Road when "(the car) was struck in the right rear tire by (the bicycle), which failed to yield the right of way to traffic on the throughway," the police report states. The man was thrown from the bike upon impact, according to the report. The bicyclist was wearing a helmet.
