Cops: Harleysville Man Exits Lot, Hits Car, Flees Scene

Police said a Harleysville man was charged with causing an accident when entering a roadway July 12.

Stephen Simms, 32, was driving a 2009 Nissan Murano  and attempted to turn right out of a parking lot onto Skippack Pike near Old Forty Foot Road, police said, and struck the right side of a 2006 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Patricia Kutterbach, 56, in the westbound lane of Skippack Pike.

Simms then allegedly fled the scene westbound on Skippack Pike, police said.
