Firefighters In Perkiomen Township Freed A Worker Whose Ankle Got Caught In Machinery
The Perkiomen Township Fire Co. and crews from neighboring towns rescued a worker last week whose leg got caught in a machine.
PERKIOMEN TOWNSHIP, PA — Local emergency crews late last week were called out to a scene of a workplace emergency after an employee's leg became caught in a piece of machinery.
The Perkiomen Township Fire Company said that an all-volunteer crew responded to the Packaging Corporation of America location on Iron Bridge Drive on April 21 when a call came in of a worker whose ankle had become caught in a machine.
Rescue personnel from the Trappe Fire Company No. 1, Skippack Fire Company, Collegeville Fire Company, Limerick Fire Department, Lower Providence Fire Department and Skippack Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene to help with the call.

The condition of the worker who was injured was not immediately released.
