Fire Damages Bank In Skippack Township

The bank was damaged and has been shut down.

SKIPPACK TOWNSHIP, PA — A two-alarm fire broke out at a bank in Skippack Township on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said, shutting it down indefinitely.

No one was injured in the blaze but the bank suffered significant damage.

The incident began just before 4 p.m. on the 4200 block of Township Line Road between Integrity Avenue and Bridge Road, at Univest National Bank.

Skippack Fire Company was first on the scene with multiple trucks. A second alarm was rung, and 10 total companies assisted in extinguishing the blaze.

“We're grateful no one was harmed & for the support of first responders,” Univest said in a statement. “The building suffered damage and will be closed until further notice. Customers can visit another Financial Center or contact Customer Care at 877-723-5571.”

It’s not clear yet what caused the fire.
