Fire Crews Extricate Montco Drivers In Two Separate Accidents At Same Location
Firefighters in Perkiomen Township cut a driver free from wreckage. Two days earlier, another similar accident happened at the same spot.

PERKIOMEN TOWNSHIP, PA — A driver had to be extricated from a vehicle following a Thursday evening crash in this central Montgomery County community, according to local fire officials.
The Limerick Fire Department said it was dispatched to a call for a vehicle rescue a little after 7:30 Thursday evening along a stretch of Township Line Road at Bartlett Drive.
Upon arrival, officials determined that the accident was actually located within neighboring Perkiomen Township, and the Perkiomen Township Fire Company then sent out its own crews to assist with the accident.

Firefighters arrived on the scene to find a tree felled in the roadway and the vehicle off of the roadway located in a ditch.
Crews had to cut through trees in order to access the vehicle, and then needed to use power tools to extricate the victim from the vehicle, according to the Limerick Fire Department.

It took emergency crews about 45 minutes to clear the scene.
There was no immediate word on any possible cause for the accident and the patient's condition following the extrication from the vehicle was not immediately released.
The accident came just two days after a similar accident occurred at that same location.
On Tuesday, fire crews were sent to the intersection of Bartlett Drive and North Township Line Road for a three-vehicle accident, according to the Limerick Fire Department.
At the scene, firefighters had to secure vehicle batteries, control leaking fluids and clear debris that had been scattered in the roadway due to the crash, according to fire officials.
In that previous accident, the door to one of the vehicles also had to be cut off in order to free the victim from the wreckage.
There was also no immediate word on a possible cause of that prior crash nor any patient update on those involved in the incident.
