Harleysville, Skippack and Collegeville Teens Accused of Peeing in Purse, Causing More Than $100 in Damage
Several theft cases are also under investigation.

Charges have been filed against three local teens who allegedly urinated into a purse at a Skippack boutique last Thursday afternoon, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Joseph Riley, 18, of Harleysville, and a 14-year-old Skippack boy and a 15-year-old Collegeville boy allegedly took the purse from an outdoor display at Bella’s Boutique, urinated in it and then placed it on top of another handbag. Both items were ruined, police said, and the damage totals $108.

Philadelphia man headed to Montgomery County Court in connection with retail theft cases
Charges were held against a 66-year-old Philadelphia man accused of retail theft at two stores in Collegeville, Thursday, March 24. According to his criminal history, the defendant, Roosevelt Brown, has 34 retail theft arrests and at least 12 convictions, the reports.

Officer Andrew Sohl responded to a report of a retail theft at , at 201 Second Ave. in Collegeville Borough. There, a loss prevention officer said “he observed Brown pick up a box of Band-Aids from the health and beauty aisle,” according to a Collegeville police report.
Brown allegedly “tore open the package and concealed the contents inside his coat pocket.” The loss prevention officer and another Redner’s employee stopped Brown after he allegedly left the store without paying for the merchandise.
The employees reportedly found the Band-Aids in Brown’s coat; “the value of the theft was $1.89,” the police report states. Sohl also searched Brown and allegedly found more Band-Aids, as well as “three Estwing 28 oz. framing hammers that were concealed in his pants.”
At Sohl’s request, Det. Gerard Milburn went at 305 Second Ave. and inquired about the hammers. According to the report: “(Employees) confirmed Sears Hardware sold the hammers and were missing four from their inventory. Three separate employees observed Brown inside the store prior to his arrest at Redner’s.” The hammers are valued at $95.97, the report states.
Police: Lanterns stolen from Floral and Hardy in Skippack
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the theft of two terra cotta lanterns from in Skippack.
The items were taken from in front of the store between 8:30 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. Friday, April 1, and Saturday, April 2, according to the police report. The sand-colored lanterns are two feet high with a seven-inch base, police said.
