Louise-Marie Tulio: 'When everyone works together, great results will occur!'
Collegeville Borough Councilperson answers Patch's questions as she runs for re-election.

Why she is the best person for the Borough Council seat
I have been a productive member of Collegeville Borough Council for nine years and have always listened to the residents and put their best interest into the decisions that we make. I am accessible to our residents and always willing to listen and assist members of the community with any comments or concerns they may have. I have spent most of my life in Collegeville and I have grown up with the borough. I have experienced the changes first hand and have witnessed the progress we've made from a small town with one major intersection to the delightful "downtown" we have today, and hope to continue the positive progress forward in the future.
Collegeville’s most important issue
I feel the most important issue in Collegeville at the moment is retaining the business we have and encouraging new businesses to choose Collegeville as their new home. Collegeville is a wonderful community to live in and we have residents who live and work in Collegeville and it is an ongoing goal of the borough to attract and retain new businesses, residents and visitors!
On revitalization
Collegeville's plan is already in motion, and by implementing several organizations such as the Main Street manager, CEDC, and several other organizations and committees, we are taking the steps necessary to see our goals become a reality! Since I've been on council, revitalization has always been one of the main areas of focus and continues to grow as we adapt to the changes and growth and modify our plans accordingly. I have seen tremendous changes for the positive in bringing our Main Street vision to fruition and we will continue to develop Collegeville into one of the finest communities to live, work and play!

On taxes
The key to helping keep taxes from increasing in Collegeville is to continue to look for ways to retain the wonderful services the Borough provides to the residents, while at the same time making sure we are receiving the most competitive pricing and continually looking for ways to save and spend wisely. When everyone works together, great results will occur!
What else would you like the voters to know before they go into the voting booth?
I have grown up in Collegeville and have lived here for more than 36 years. I am an active member of St. Eleanor parish, as the Youth Minister for the High School Youth Group for more than 10 years, as well as a Eucharist minister. I have served on numerous committees during my time on council including, vice president, chaired Parks, Public Safety, Personnel and Facilities, as well as being a member on the Streets and Roads and Business Liaison committees.
