Perkiomen Valley Grad Matthew DiGiacomo Passed Away

Funeral services set for Thursday.

Matthew James DiGiacomo, a Skippack resident and 2000 graduate, was killed in a car crash on Sunday, Oct. 16. He was 29.

According to his LinkedIn Page, Mr. DiGiacomo graduated from St. Joseph's University in 2004 with a bachelor's in pharmaceutical marketing. He had been working as a sales consultant for Novartis Pharmaceuticals.

By Monday afternoon, his Facebook wall was filled with messages of sorrow and sympathy for his family, which includes his wife, Nicole, children Kayla, Joseph, Nicholas and Matthew, parents William Sr. and Rita, and siblings Jenna and William.

One poster wrote: "to the DiGiacomo Family- I will always remember His million dollar smile, postitive attitude, and an overall GREAT Man. you touched people in such a special way. Let his family be at peace, for a man who gave so much. GOD SPEED, my friend- you touched so many people in your life- your legacy will live forever. Please reach out to Matt and his family in this time of sorrow."

Mr. DiGiacomo's funeral will be at at 11 a.m. Thursday, according to his obituary. Visitation will be at R.L. Williams Jr. Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m., and Thursday from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
