What’s Happening Today

Collegeville and Skippack farmers markets take place Saturday and Sunday mornings, respectively.
The Perkiomen Valley School Board will hold another meeting at Monday, Sept. 26. There will be a tour of the building at 6:30 p.m., followed by a meeting around 7 p.m. The discussion will include the building’s current state and possible improvements.
• Skippack Days will be held the weekend of Oct. 1 and 2; the Revolutionary War encampment will take place Oct. 8 and 9.
• is hosting a Fire Prevention Open House Oct. 13, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Trappe Community Day will be held Saturday, Sept. 24, at Water Works Park.
St. Eleanor’s Parish is holding a Centennial Youth Event Sunday, Sept. 24, from 9 a.m. to noon and then 2 to 5 p.m.
• A Zumbathon in memory of will take place Saturday, Sept. 24, at Christ’s Church of the Valley in Royersford. The event runs from 9 a.m. until noon. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased by emailing zumbaforgabby@gmail.com. Proceeds will benefit the Vogel family.
• The Perkiomen Township Fire Company is hosting its first-ever Oktoberfest Saturday, Sept. 24, from 7 to 10 p.m. The event includes music, food and samples from local breweries. Admission is $25, and $15 for designated drivers. Visit here for more information.
