What’s Happening Today
Grab a costume and hit on Friday, Oct. 14 and Saturday, Oct. 15.
Hikes leave every 15 minutes from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. Walk the pumpkin-lit path leading to mysterious animals of the night. Meet and talk with several nocturnal creatures, then end up in the Discovery Room, where refreshments and seasonal stories will round off the evening.
The experience takes about 90 minutes. Pre-registration is required; call 610-287-9383. The cost is $13 per person.
• It’s Perkiomen Valley High School’s homecoming game at 7 p.m. – go Vikings!

Pennypacker Mills' All Hallow's Eve Fall Festival will be held Oct. 15 from 1 to 4 p.m. Come experience Halloween the way Victorians did, with old-fashioned games, hayrides and harvest fun.
Choose your favorite pumpkin to paint, make crafts, play games, shuck corn, and enjoy apple cider and candy corn.
• hosts an open house Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A live-simulation vehicle accident will be held at noon, with an ambulance available to transport the victim to the medevac helicopter. A simulated vehicle fire will follow the “accident.” This is event is free.
• Winetober Fest in Skippack on Oct. 15
• Fall Fest is Oct. 22 from 1-3 p.m.
