Morning Update: Plaque Dedication Today, Meeting Tonight

What’s Happening Today
• At 10 a.m. in , PECO will have a memorial plaque dedication in honor of Mike Killian. The children’s playground was funded by PECO in memory of Mr. Killian, who was killed in the line of duty. Mellanie Lassiter, PECO coordinator, expects 60 attendees, including employees, Killian family members and friends, and Trappe Council representatives.

Mark Your Calendars
• Trappe Beef and Beer Barn Dance on Nov. 12, benefiting Trappe Today and Tomorrow Committee and the Trappe Volunteer Fire Company.
The event is from 7 to 10 p.m. Attendees must by 21 or older; tickets are $15 each ($20 at the door).
• Election Day is Nov. 8.
• The Perkiomen Valley High School cheerleaders will be sponsoring a pancake breakfast on Nov. 12 from 8-10 a.m. at the Applebee’s in Royersfod.  Prices are $7 for adults and $3 for children younger than 10; breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, coffee, juice, tea or soda.
