Pennypacker Mills to Hold Civil War Reunion
The 2013 Civil War Reunion will commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War.

Pennypacker Mills, located at 5 Halderman Road in Schwenksville, will hold its 2013 Civil War Reunion on two dates in June:
- Saturday, June 1: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Sunday, June 2: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
This year, the Civil War Reunion is commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War, and will have many new presenters, performers and Civil war Reenactors at the free event. According to the event’s website, the Pennypacker Mills Civil War Reunion is one of the few Civil War events held in Montgomery County.
On the website, visitors an see an event guide and schedule of performances for each day of the event, as well as directions to the event.

Under the “Event Guide” link on the site, the event is described as putting participants, “front and center for a weekend of military batteries, artillery firings, living history demonstrations, special first-person speakers and performers, and outstanding musicians who blend the songs and stories of the 1860s and bring them to life.”
There is also information for teachers, as well as those directly participating in the event as a reenactor, sutler or exhibitor.

According to the site, throughout the rest of the year, the mission of Pennypacker Mills is to inspire and educate visitors as they experience early 20th-century life on a preserved estate and through collections of Goernor Samuel W. Pennypacker and his family.
