Perkiomen Valley Marching Vikings Win First Place

Perkiomen Valley's Director of Bands Dave Overholtzer submitted the following information:

This past Saturday the Perkiomen Valley Marching Vikings competed in the US Scholastic Band Association (USSBA) State Championships. The band took first place in the Group IIIA division, and also won all caption awards: Best Music, Best Visual, Best Color Guard, Best Percussion, and Best Overall Effect. The Championship Banner, trophy, and certificates are on display in the High School Band Room.

This Sunday, the Marching Vikings will compete against 21 other bands at J Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown, PA for the USSBA Group IIIA National Championships. For more information, go to www.yea.org/ussba.
