Perkiomen Valley Vikings Fight for their Victory
The team faced Pope John Paul II High School girls Monday.

Erik Enters submitted the following information:
PV won a hard earned victory Monday. A bumpy field and many direct shots at the PJPII goalie made for some heart-pumping anxiety. skill level was clearly head and shoulders above the Panthers, but we could not find the back of the goal until the final five minutes of overtime. To the girls credit, they stayed with it, and Colleen McGann was able to deflect home the game winner off a cross by Chandler Geise on a broken corner play.
On Monday, we cycled in multiple forwards to keep ourselves fresh and maintain constant pressure on the opposing team. With four games slated this week, the Vikings have a lot of hockey to play. Annie Himsworth, AnnMarie Carroll, Carli Conners, Courtney McKay, Becca Sangiulano, Emily Nagle, Sammy Parker and Sarah Roos all stepped up and played at equally high levels today, all registered shots on goal and forced 17 of our 25 corners. Hopefully next game, the goals will come with the hard effort!
PV moves to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the PAC-10
