Police: Citation Will Be Issued in Route 29 Crash
Two crashes were reported on state road Thursday; there were no injuries in either incident.
A Collegeville woman will be cited in connection with a two-vehicle crash on Route 29 in Perkiomen Township on Thursday afternoon. No one was injured.
According to a report, Jennifer Ceccola, 38, driving a 2006 Honda Accord, was “on Graterford Road, (and) attempted to cross Route 29.” Wendy Sokolowski, 43, of Limerick, was driving a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer north on Route 29 when Ceccola “pulled into (Sokolowski’s) path of travel,” according to the police report. The vehicles collided, and both were towed from the scene. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, police said.
Perkiomen Township firefighters directed traffic around the vehicles, which were blocking a portion of Route 29 in front of the .

Michael Dasconio, 19, was driving a 1998 Subaru Legacy north on Route 29 in Perkiomen Township when he lost control of the vehicle while trying to negotiate a left curve, according to the police report.
The car hit a guardrail on the right side of the road, and “then traveled across the southbound lane and struck a sign and a dirt embankment,” the report states.
Everyone in the car was wearing a seat belt, police noted, and the car was towed from the scene.
