Whether we’re celebrating our liberties or—on the more frivolous side of things—looking to score a few products or a meal, Americans agree: Free is good.

We here at Perkiomen Valley Patch are proud to offer hyper-local coverage to our readers, gratis. It might seem corny, but it’s incredibly rewarding when we hear that we are delivering much-wanted regular news to a neglected market. We hope to continue our work, and to keep improving the site and its content.

As a thank you to our readers, and to meet more members of the community, PV Patch is hosting its first-ever free coffee day this Saturday at in Collegeville. We’ll be inside the shop throughout the morning, distributing a cup of free, fair-trade java to each visitor we get at our Patch table.

Whether you’re a new or longtime reader, we invite you to stop by—bring a friend if you’d like—pick up some (free) swag, and chat with the staff. Ask questions, give opinions or just say hi.
