Skippack Homeowners Discover 450,000 Bees Inside Walls Of House

A couple who recently took advantage of the housing market and purchased an old farmhouse in Skippack has bees ... lots of them.

SKIPPACK TOWNSHIP, PA — A Montgomery County couple who had taken advantage of the recent competitive housing market by waiving a home inspection before purchase are now reportedly having some regrets after discovering close to a half-million bees living inside the home’s walls.

Sara Weaver and her husband purchased an old farmhouse in Skippack Township last fall and soon discovered that more than 450,000 bees were inhabiting the structure, according to a report on 6ABC Action News.

Weaver told the television station that the previous owner did state on the seller’s disclosure that there were bees in the wall, but Weaver and her husband still decided to move forward with the sale minus an inspection, since the housing market was competitive and they figured the bee issue was something they could overlook.
