Former chairman Mark Marino to be sentenced today

Mary Beth La Belle will serve as the new Skippack Board of Supervisors chairperson in 2012, and former chair Mark Marino officially resigned from the board at the Tuesday, Jan. 3, reorganization meeting, according to a Lansdale Reporter article.

Marino, who has been on the board for a dozen years, prior to his . He is scheduled to be sentenced in federal court today, Jan. 4, 2012. 

The article quotes Marino as saying during the meeting, “‘It’s not the way I wanted to go … but I’ll go. I appreciate my time here. Skippack is a great spot.’”

William Parkins will serve as the vice chair.

The article continues: “Paul Fox, previously the chairman of the township’s park and recreation board, was appointed to replace Marino on the board of supervisors LaBelle and Franco D’Angelo each kicked off a six-year term after winning in November’s election. LaBelle ran as an incumbent supervisor. D’Angelo replaces Timothy Moran.”
