'The Goonies' Go Skiing
Spring Mount Ski Resort played host to a movie under the stars; a portion of donations will benefit Lower Frederick Regional Ambulance Corps.
Thursday night was crisp, cool and beautiful. It was made even more merry with a gathering of friends, family and supporters of the and Upper Salford Fire Department.
Hosted at Ski Resort, the two departments joined together for a free family night of fun with a viewing of The Goonies. Donations were accepted, but there was no charge to enjoy the night.
The companies also hosted a snack stand, selling candies, popcorn, drinks and hot dogs. Guests were also permitted to bring along their own.

Area residents threw out their blankets, opened up the lawn chairs and soaked up a wonderful night, sitting along the hillsides of the snowless ski resort. A fire truck from Upper Salford was coupled with one of Lower Frederick's ambulances on display for children to tour.
While "Goonies never say die," those with the Lower Frederick Ambulance Company also never rest. Even during the movie, the displayed ambulance had to run out on a call for a medical emergency. The nearby-landing helicopter didn't slow down the watching.

Clearly, the service is a busy one! The first responders couldn't even take a night off for fun.
