Trappe Celebrates Community Tree Lighting

Trappe officials, along with some help from Santa, lit the Trappe Community Christmas Tree on Wednesday at the Speaker's House.

Several community groups were involved in the tree lighting, including the donation of a permanent tree from Girl Scout Troop 7254.

Perkiomen Valley High School Singers and the Perkiomen Valley Middle School Chorus performed, and Boy Scout Troop 7155 and Girl Scout Troop 7243 served hot chocolate and cookies.

Santa himself stopped in for the fun, thanks to the Trappe Fire Co.

Non-perishable food items were collected for local food banks, and the Perk Valley Pet Eatery collected food donations for the Perkiomen Valley YMCA.
