Under Construction: Gingerbread Houses

Frosting, candy canes, licorice and Chex might not be the best materials for building a house, but when the domicile's walls are gingerbread, nothing could be sweeter.

Debra Berardi's cooking and nutrition classes have split into teams to bake and assemble from-scratch gingerbread houses.

For many of the students, this project was the most they had ever done for this cookie residence -- having used gingerbread "kits" in the past or just decorated the houses their parents had made.
