Emergency Workers Were Dispatched To A Scene Where Someone Plowed Into A Park Bench

TRAPPE, PA — A driver of a sedan plowed into a public park bench Tuesday afternoon after it was involved in a collision with another vehicle.

The Trappe Fire Company No. 1 posted video and still images of an accident scene where a car apparently drove into and knocked over a bench on East First Street in Trappe Borough Tuesday around 3:30 in the afternoon after it was involved in a two-vehicle accident.

No one appeared to be on the bench, and the sedan looks to have sustained front-end damage.

There was no word about any injuries.

Video posted online shows firefighters arriving at the scene, where the car had crashed into the bench in what appears to be just feet away from a fire hydrant.

Trappe fire officials said that they were assisted at the scene by Collegeville Fire Company, Pennsylvania State Police and local fire police who helped direct traffic safely around the accident scene until the cars involved in the crash were cleared from the area.
