Geriatric Expert to Speak on Alzheimer's Monday
Visiting Angels and Elaine Dively will hold a seminar at Peters Township Public Library Monday evening.

Visiting Angels (Washington PA/Pittsburgh West) will be holding a seminar by local geriatric expert Elaine Dively on Understanding Alzheimer’s Disease Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the .Â
The seminar is free and the public is welcome.
Attendees will learn about Alzheimer’s disease and specifics on how to live with or care for someone who has it. They will also learn how to communicate with loved ones, common behaviors of someone with Alzheimer’s, safety issues, reasons they act the way they do and ways to improve the quality of life for the Alzheimer’s patient and caregiver. This seminar is informative and participants will receive detailed handouts to take home.

Elaine Dively, LSW is a private geriatric consultant and speaker for groups on topics regarding Alzheimer’s disease and its effect on patients and families.Â
Dively was previously education and outreach manager for the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, where she developed training programs for health care professionals and family caregivers. She was also a private geriatric case manager and social worker at St. Clair Hospital.Â
