McMurray Man Arrested In Fatal Stabbing Incident
A McMurray man has been charged in a stabbing incident that left one person dead and two others hurt in a Pittsburgh-area duplex.
VERSAILLES, PA — A man is dead and two others were injured Thursday night after a stabbing incident in this small Allegheny County borough. A police officer and K-9 officer later were hurt while subduing the suspect.
County 911 dispatched Versailles Police at around 8 p.m. to the 400 block of Worthington Street, where they found a man on the porch of a duplex suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
In the adjacent residence, police found a man who also had been stabbed and a woman who had been assaulted. Both were taken to an area hospital and are listed in stable condition.

County police said preliminary information indicates there was an altercation between the suspect, later identified as Robert Kail, 40, of McMurray, and the man who was fatally stabbed. Kail then allegedly entered the second residence and became involved in another altercation with the two people wounded.
The suspect then fled in a vehicle, but was apprehended a short time later by McKeesport Police. While in custody at the McKeesport Police Department, he allegedly fought with officers.

One officer was injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown.
A K9 officer also was injured and taken to a local veterinarian.
The suspect also was treated at a local hospital.
The names of the victims had not been released as of Friday morning.
According to court documents, Kail is charged with criminal homicide, two counts of aggravated assault, burglary, assault of a law enforcement officer, two counts of terroristic threats and police animals illegal to taunt.
