Pittsburgh Radio Host's Restaurant Desperate For Workers
A popular Pittsburgh morning show host has issued a plea for job applicants.
CANONSBURG, PA — Bubba Snider is more than just the popular morning host at 100.7 Star in Pittsburgh. He's also a restaurateur, and has issued a plea for additional workers at one of his eateries.
Bubba's Gourmet Burghers and Beers in Southpointe was forced to close on Wednesday, the first day of Lent, because of a lack of employees.
"Wednesday was supposed to be a big day for us as we were planning on launching our famous fish sammich and spicy fish burrito," he posted on the eatery's Facebook page. "Unfortunately, we have received zero applications for servers or cooks and desperately need both."

Snider's current woes underscore a nationwide problem according to a recent National Restaurant Association report, Business Insider recently reported. In the report, roughly 50 percent of restaurant operators identified recruiting and retaining workers as their biggest anticipated challenge this year.
Bubba's Southpointe location will be open Thursday through Sunday but Snider said that doesn't mean his search for additional employees is over.
