Rose Lord to Speak On Natural Cancer Therapy at Sunny Bridge

Rose Lord, author of "What I've Learned About Food and Peace," is a nurse by profession and a gardener by avocation. She will be speaking at June 11 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., according to a release.
As part of the Women's Self-Reliance Program, she teaches an intensive, organic, vegetable gardening technique, locally, in Washington D.C. and in Latin America.Â
When her husband, Rich, was diagnosed with colon and liver cancer, his doctors prescribed a program of chemotherapy that they predicted would give him up to 22 months of a not-very-high-quality life.Â

Rather, he opted to hold off on the chemotherapy and try an alternative nutritional therapy that offered much more promising odds. Seventeen months after his diagnosis, Rich is on a mild form of chemotherapy, an organic diet and some powerful nutritional supplements.Â
Enjoying life, he is working full-time, free of symptoms or side-effects.Â
