Man Sought In Deadly Uber Crash, Domestic Assault In Custody: Reports
Joseph Cini, 35, caused a crash that killed an Uber passenger as he fled Philadelphia authorities serving a warrant for his arrest Monday.

PHILADELPHIA — The man authorities said caused a crash that killed an Uber passenger and hurt the driver in Philadelphia is in custody.
Joseph Cini, 35, is accused of causing the deadly crash Monday morning near the 800 block of East Girard Avenue as he fled an arrest warrant service at on the 900 block of North Watts Street at about 7:15 a.m. Cini ran off on Eighth Street after the crash.
NBC10 reports Cini surrendered himself to police Tuesday evening.

Action News reports the passenger killed was Angela Cooper, 63, and the driver was Stephen Thompson, 51.
The situation began when the Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office was serving an arrest warrant for Cini, who was wanted for domestic assault.

Cini drove off from the area in a Nissan Maxima, and eventually crashed into a Jeep Patriot being used as an Uber vehicle near the 800 block of East Girard Avenue.
The driver, later identified as Thompson, was taken to Jeep Patriot Temple Hospital for treatment, and the passenger, later identified as Cooper, was pronounced dead at the scene.
