PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Eagles dominated in Sunday's NFC Championship game against the Washington Commanders at Lincoln Financial Field. They clinched their spot to play in Super Bowl LIX after defeating the Commanders 55-23. This will be Quarterback Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles second time going to the Super Bowl in just three seasons.
Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley each rushed three touchdowns in the championship game to secure the win. Barkley dashed 60 yards for a touchdown on Philadelphia’s first play and completed the game with 118 yards. Hurts threw for 246 yards while wearing a knee brace after sustaining an injury from last week's game against the Los Angeles Rams. The Eagles 55 point score is the most any team has scored in a conference championship game since the 1970 merger.
The Philadelphia Eagles are slated to square off against the Kansas City Chiefs and former Eagles head coach, Andy Reid at Super Bowl LIX at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9th.
