3,400+ Without Power Thursday Night In Chesco: UPDATE

As the power is still being restored from Tuesday's storm, emergency responders are preparing for another possible storm Friday.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA —More than 4,300 Chester County residents were still without power Thursday night following Tuesday night’s storm that dumped nearly four inches of rain in spots throughout the county.

PECO crews continue working Wednesday on restoring power to the residents. Motorists are asked to exercise caution when driving through work areas.

But in the meantime, first responders are preparing for another possible deluge on Friday night through Saturday morning and new possible flooding and outages.

Strong winds gusting from 40 to 10 mph are predicted to occur, according to forecasters with the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, N.J.

The temperature on Friday is expected to range from 41 to 43 degrees Fahrenheit.

At 6 p.m., a total of 989 customers in neighboring Delaware County and 548customers in neighboring Montgomery County were still without electricity.
