Construction At Starr Street And Nutt Road In Phoenixville Complete

Officials are hopeful the newly improved roadway will significantly reduce congestion in and out of the borough.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Construction aimed at reducing traffic at a key Phoenixville intersection has been completed, and officials are hopeful motorists heading in and out of the borough will quickly reap the rewards.

The project at the intersection of Nutt Road and Starr Street added a left turn lane from Nutt Road, and also widened Nutt Road at the intersection to provide room for a right turn lane.

The $91,319 project was completed by Marino Corporation of Skippack.

New ADA-compliant curb ramps, modernized traffic signals, and new pavement markings were also added, and the roadway was milled and repaved.

The project was fully financed by federal funds.
