Escaped Suspect Captured In Phoenixville Wawa: Cops
The man tried to run when he saw police, authorities said.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The man who escaped from police custody at Phoenixville Hospital after a DUI arrest last weekend was captured at the Wawa in Phoenixville on Friday morning, police said.
Corporal Anthony Gray recognized the man, Jairo Eliazar Ramirez-Lima, of East Pikeland, inside the store on Nutt Road, authorities said.
Ramirez-Lima fled but Gray caught him and placed him into custody. He was praised by police for "acting quickly and courageously."

"Excellent work by all involved," police said. "And a special commendation to Corporal Gray for his alertness and decisive action that brought this incident to a safe conclusion."
The capture brings to an end a nearly week long search for Ramirez-Lima after his escape at around 7 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25.

Police said that in addition to the DUI, Ramirez-Lima was wanted on other active warrants. He has a history of violence and weapons offenses, police said.
He was booked at Chester County Prison. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
