Health Inspections in West Chester in January
Chester County Health inspectors found several violations in restaurants in January.
WEST CHESTER, PA —Health inspectors visited establishments in West Chester during the first three weeks of January.
Inspectors found some establishments in violation of health codes set by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.

- Chris's Pizza, 633 S. Walnut St., 8 violations including storage containers not labeled, ice collecting inside packages foods, refrigerator holding food at too high a temperature, equipment needs cleaning, floors need cleaning, and mops need to be hung out to dry.
- Pizza, West Chester, 136, E. Market St., 10 violations including pizza box in front of the counter with no guard, wet wiping clothes not sanitized, dry goods stored on the floor, cheese packages without dates, and more.
- Thomas Dairy Queen,703 E. Gay St., four violations including hand wash sink out of order, water leak, and no Chester County certified food manager.
- Fiorello's Cafe, 730 E. Gay St., two violations, need chlorine sanitizer strips, replace light bulbs.
- Vano's Pizza and Restaurant, 1387 Boot Road, 12 violations, including food employee wearing only one glove, raw eggs store need food, employee touching bread, dry good food containers not labeled, cups used as scoops, food stored on floor, tomato sauce at room temperature, nonfood surfaces not cleaned, and old personal items stored in the kitchen.
- Dutch Family Meats, 1165 Wilmington Pike, five violations including containers labeled raw beef dog food, wiping cloths lining clean utensils, and pans on self-clean shelves with food residue.
- Fisher's Salad, 1165 Wilmington Pike, Seven violations including person in charge not knowing food safety, walk-in refrigerator raw turkey stored over macaroni salad, food not cooled, puddings not properly labeled, two thermometers reading different temperatures, reusing plastic food containers,
- Jarlan's Poultry LLC, 1165 Wilmington Pike, two violations, including prepackaged desserts not labeled, and nonfood surfaces not cleaned.
- Lorenzo's 216 E. Market Street, 216 E. Market St., prepackaged desserts are not labeled and nonfood surfaces are not clean.
- Miss Winnies, 211 E. Market St., ready-to-eat food held for more than 24 hours, cardboard lining shelved need to be removed.
- Paoli Pike Sunoco, 1425 Paoli Pike, food stores at the incorrect temperature, nonfood surfaces not clean, and holes in the wall.
- West Chester Golf and County Club, 111 W. Ashbridge St., whipped cream with expired date, hand washing going on a food prep sink, knives stored in sanitizer, citrus press not clean, broken fryer needs to be removed.
