Mike Layne, a longtime resident and retired small business owner, has officially announced his candidacy for Supervisor of East Pikeland Township in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Layne is endorsed by the East Pikeland Republican Committee.
Born in Phoenixville and a proud East Pikeland resident, Layne brings decades of leadership experience, a deep understanding of the township’s values, and a strong commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible growth.

“I’m running because I care deeply about East Pikeland’s future,” said Layne. “I believe our community deserves a local government that listens, communicates clearly, and makes decisions in the best interest of residents—not behind closed doors.”

Layne has been a member of the community since 1989. Since retiring, he has regularly attended township meetings, asking questions, engaging with local issues, and becoming a familiar face to many residents.
“I’m not a career politician. I’m a neighbor who’s ready to step up and serve,” Layne said. “I will always strive to do what’s right for our community—even when it’s difficult or unpopular.”
