Mowere Road Improvements Complete In Phoenixville

The months-long closure has ended as one of the area's key construction projects has been completed.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The improvements to Mowere Road in Phoenixville have been completed, bringing to a close one of the more comprehensive construction projects in the local area.

The construction has shut down Mowere Road between North Ridge Drive and St. Mary’s Street since Aug. 12.

Improvements made include roadway reconstruction and resurfacing, replacement of and addition of curbs, sidewalks, and ADA curb ramps, new storm sewers, and new signage.

There is also a new signalized trail crossing over the road for the Schuylkill River Trail.

Officials hope that traffic will be greatly eased in the area with reopening on the road.
