A new release from local fav David Wilcox - The Way I Tell the Story
Wilcox continues to deliver compelling, thoughtful songs that lifts the listener's hearts and minds.

It's no secret that David Wilcox and his music have found a special place in our neck of the woods...
From his appearances at Steel City back in the day to concerts (almost) annually in nearby Bryn Mawr & in King of Prussia (also back in the day!) - Heck! He even did a house concert a few years ago for some of his fans over in Kimberton!
Needless to say; All people have to do is hear him perform to become fervent fans of his music...

So we were VERY happy to see a NEW release from David come our way a few weeks ago - The collection walks the line between hope and heartbreak, and it does so with the kind of precision that only happens when someone’s actually been through it.
And Wilcox has been through it.

In recent years, his wife’s Parkinson’s diagnosis has reframed everything—his perspective, his process, his writing. “Times get tough, and music gets good,” he recently said, which might as well be the thesis of The Way I Tell the Story. This is music about surviving with your heart intact, told with the ease of someone who’s spent his life learning how. The record isn’t trying to chase virality. Instead, it trusts that what’s personal is also what’s lasting. That honesty matters. That craft still counts. And that if you tell a story the right way, it can change the way people hear their own.
(Personal PS here: Much love to Nance! We're sending good thoughts & prayers your way from PA!)
The album is produced by Michael Selverne and features performances by world renowned musicians, including Jeff Pevar, Philippe Saisse, Bashiri Johnson, Bill Berg, Michael Bearden, Daryl Jones, and Al Carty - All of whom have also lent their talents to dozens of world-renowned artists throughout their stellar careers.
We've heard some folks say that Wilcox has always been the kind of songwriter who quietly devastates you—never flashy, never loud, just one cleanly delivered line that lands exactly where you live. Now, with The Way I Tell the Story, the veteran folk artist leans into warmth and wisdom that has been won hard, pulling emotional threads in new and surprisingly luminous ways.
