Pawlings Road To Be Shut Down In October
The month-long closure will impact traffic around the Schuylkill Township and Lower Providence areas.
SCHUYLKILL TOWNSHIP, PA — Pawlings Road will be closed throughout most of October as construction and base repair work gets underway, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced this week.
The month-long closure will impact traffic around the Schuylkill Township and Lower Providence areas.
The closure will run from Thursday, Oct. 2 through Friday, Oct. 31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Pawlings Road will be closed from Route 23 to Audubon Road.
The detour will take northbound drivers to Route 23 (Valley Forge Road), Route 29 (Starr Street/Bridge Street), and Egypt Road. Southbound drivers will be directed to Audubon Road, Route 363 (Trooper Road), U.S. 422, and Route 23 (Valley Forge Road), officials said.
