Phoenixville Area School District Goes Remote For A Half Day Friday

The district officials decided to go remote due to a major snowfall forecasted to begin early Friday morning.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA —Due to the impending storm, Phoenixville Area School District will use a half-day of virtual learning on Friday, Jan. 19, officials said Thursday night,

Officials said the half-day was planned to ensure families have time to plan for a schedule change.

The online day will run from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Please see communications from your building principal for details on your child’s schedule, as schedules differ from building to building.

Faculty and staff professional development will be held virtually in the afternoon.
No transportation will be provided for non-PASD schools.

The snow is expected to be heavy at times, stopping at around 10 p.m. Friday.

Temperatures are expected to drop rapidly, and untreated roads will become icy.

Motorists are reminded to keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in their vehicles in the event of an emergency.

The high temperature on Friday is forecasted at 30 degrees and the low is 14 degrees.

Saturday morning is expected to be partly sunny with blustery winds at 15 to 20 mph.
