Phoenixville Expands Firebird Festival Capacity, Approves Date

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — After being postponed due to powerful winds, the Phoenixville area's iconic winter festival has a new date. And a larger crowd will be permitted.

The Firebird Festival, originally slated for Dec. 11, will now be held on Saturday, Dec. 18. Additionally, 500 more attendees have been more approved for the event.

The original crowd size was capped at 500, which means the new decision doubles the initial expected attendance.

Tickets are still required for the event in order for the festival to keep control of the crowd size. To get your ticket, see the EventBrite website online here.

Ticket sales are considered a charitable donation and can be written off on taxes, the festival said.

Those who are unable to attend are encouraged to have their own, private, mini-burn, and share a short video of it with organizers. A virtual event, featuring all shared celebrations, will be held on Jan. 21. See here for details.

The 2021 event will also be available to watch live on Fantom TV. It will take place at Veteran Memorial Park on Dec. 18, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
