Phoenixville Firebird Festival Sells Out; Crowd Capped At 500
Festival goers had to obtain tickets to attend 2021's iteration of the iconic event.
PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The Phoenixville Firebird Festival has sold out for its 2021 event, after it was determined that 2021's iteration of the iconic event would need to limit its crowd size.
The borough recently told the Firebird Volunteer Committee that the crowd must be limited to 500 attendees this year. Festival goers needed to obtain tickets to attend.
"If this is frustrating, I hear you," a note posted to the Firebird's Facebook page recently reads. "It is for me too. But let that not taint what we do have. The past year has taught us, setbacks happen, but I believe we can rise from those too."

The move to require tickets was "not to make money from Festival attendees but rather to have a mechanism that honors the limitation we have this year," event organizers noted in a message posted to the Firebird's Facebook page. "I was hopeful this might change as we got closer to the event but I am sad to report we are obligated to keeping the Festival participation to 500."
Those who are unable to attend are encouraged to have their own, private, mini-burn, and share a short video of it with organizers. A virtual event, featuring all shared celebrations, will be held on Jan. 21. See here for details.
