Phoenixville High School Teacher Wins 'Heart Of Learning' Award
Out of thousands of outstanding teachers in the region, this Phoenixville educator has been named the best of the best.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Out of thousands of exceptional teachers in the greater Philadelphia area, a Phoenixville Area High School teacher has been named among the best of the best.
Math teacher and head swimming and diving coach Dan Weinstein won the Citadel Heart of Learning Award, as well as a $1,000 check to use towards his classroom.
Weinstein has taught math at Phoenixville for 26 years.

"He also serves as the coach of the PAHS Swimming & Diving team, and carries a legacy of success of both poolside in the classroom," the school district said. "He was nominated by students, colleagues, parents, and community members, all who recognized his incredible energy, unwavering support, and care and concern for his students."
Weinstein was given the award Monday morning during a special ceremony with students, school staff, and administrators.

Citadel has disbursed $410,000 in prizes to teachers since they launched the program.
