Phoenixville Library Hosts Chester County Food Bank's "Eat Fresh" Cooking Classes

Learn to cook healthy on a budget.

Are you interested in learning simple recipes, cooking on a budget, trying new fruits and vegetables, and making healthy meals with your community? Phoenixville Public Library will offer the Chester County Food Bank’s free “Eat Fresh Cooking and Wellness” class series on Wednesdays from 3:00 to 4:30 PM from August 13 to September 10. This free cooking course will be offered in English and Spanish and will emphasize whole foods, local produce, and cultural traditions. Participants will receive a box of fresh produce with each class to put their newly learned skills into action at home. With these skills and the opportunity to taste new fresh fruits and vegetables, participants will be able to make informed choices to select ingredients and prepare healthy meals at home.
