Phoenixville Photographer Rich McGovern Wins 2nd Place

McGovern wins an award for his photograph, "Saddened by the War."

PHOENIXVILLE, PA —Phoenixville photographer Rich McGovern won second place in this year’s Photography 43 competition at Perkins Center for the Arts in Moorestown.

Photography 43, a juried photography show, is held each January. This year’s theme was “Point of View” and there were four cash prizes.

During this annual competition, dozens of artists from the region submit works for consideration by Juror Liz Wuillermin, a Hammonton-based professional photographer whose work has appeared in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Magazine, Martha Stewart Living, and many other publications as well as the books “The Philadelphia Orchestra’s: A Century of Music” and “Larry Kane’s Philadelphia”.

Wuillermin selected the entries to exhibit and named the winners on Jan. 27 during an artist’s reception. The show is on view at Perkins Center for the Arts, 395 Kings Highway, Moorestown N.J. until Feb. 23. For information, call 856-235-6488.
