PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The Blobfest will once again hit the streets of Phoenixville and the historic Colonial Theatre this summer for what will mark the 25th annual event.

The three-day festival will take place from July 12 to July 14 as part of the yearly homage to the 1958 cult classic Steve McQueen film, the Blob. The movie was filmed in Phoenixville and features the Colonial Theatre in a key scene.

“2024 is a special year for Blobfest," Jennifer Carlson, the Colonial Theatre’s executive director, said in a statement. "This year, we come together not only to celebrate the history of the filming of The Blob, but also to celebrate Blobfest itself - for the endurance and growing popularity of the festival over 25 years."
