Route 23 To Be Shut Down On Saturday, Some Residents Will Lose Water

Some area residents will be without water during planned construction this weekend.

SCHUYLKILL TOWNSHIP, PA — Route 23 will be shut down this Saturday in Schuylkill Township as Aqua America crews replace a high pressure valve, authorities announced.

The work will take place on March 15 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will shut down the road from Colonial Springs Road to Route 252.

Officials said the work is part of the ongoing construction already taking place in the same area.

Some customers of Aqua America in that area may be without water while the work is ongoing.

The ongoing 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekday road closure will continue next week as usual.

Nearby, Route 29 remains closed during weekdays from Pothouse Road to Charlestown Road.
