Route 422 Shut Down At Route 29 After Major Accident

ROYERSFORD, PA — Route 422 westbound was shut down on Wednesday afternoon at the intersection with Route 29 following an accident, causing congestion and delays throughout the area.

The incident occurred at some point around noon.

Details on the accident remain scarce, but it involved several vehicles, officials said.

Authorities advised that additional traffic should be expected along Route 29 and throughout the general Spring-Ford area "footprint" for the remainder of the afternoon.
