Our first example of this begins with a Phoenixville favorite, Jake Shimabukuro. Folks may remember Jake from back in 2021 when he played to a packed house at our Colonial Theatre - An incredible show that was enjoyed by many!
The project has produced a festive, intimate, and innovative ukulele record featuring duets with artists like the late-great Jimmy Buffett, cellist extraordinaire Yo Yo Ma, & rocks favorite keyboard/vocalist Michael McDonald as well as new arrangements of classics like "Winter Wonderland" and "O Holy Night," plus his take on some newer holiday tunes to boot!

It's been praised for its joyful spirit, intricate layering, and ability to bring holiday cheer through virtuosic yet accessible playing, making it a perfect blend of tradition and Shimabukuro's signature sound. The thirteen tracks on the record are pretty evenly split between vocal track & instrumentals with the accomplished singer Justin Kawika Young joining in on three of the tracks.
