Pine-Richland Takes on Plum in Last Football Game of 2012 Season

Game starts at 7:30 p.m. at Pine-Richland Stadium.

No matter the outcome of Pine-Richland's game against Plum tonight (Friday), the Pine-Richland football season is over once 48 minutes tick off the game clock.

With a 2-5 WPIAL Class AAAA Northern Eight Conference record, the Rams were booted out of playoff contention last week with the 18-10 loss to North Hills.

Overall, Pine-Richland won 3 games this season and lost 5.

Statistically, a number of players on this year's squad have been standouts in WPIAL AAAA rankings.

Senior Luke Merhaut is No. 1 in AAAA receiving, with 45 receptions for 585 yards, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Quarterback Ben DiNucci is sixth in passing for AAAA schools, with 88 passes completed on 153 attempts for 1,068 yards, the PG reports. The sophomore scored 8 touchdowns and was intercepted 9 times.

Sophomore Connor Slomka is ranked third in AAAA rushing; he has 175 attempts for 879 yards, according to the P-G.
